This book presents the results of research and analysis of independent spaces and artist collectives in the Spanish state since 1980 by Nekane Aramburu in 2010. Models of self-management, production and communication for contemporary creation that developed a key role in a time when there were hardly any infrastructure.
This other story of contemporary relatively new but still unknown, with little documentation or analysis of its evolution with neutral criteria. Therefore recognize its genesis and mutations, the parallel paths, oscillating and curly that have come in the evolution of art between the official and the alternative, the visible and the underground, it is essential to understand the situation of creative practices and management models that are bound to deep structural changes after a new crisis.
